first saw your spinnerbait at a tournament that I was fishing
last year. One of the guys there was really bragging about this
new bait that had helped him catch a big sack of fish. After
talking to him for a while I decided that I needed to give them
a try. I have since caught hundreds of fish on your baits and
it has caused me to do what I thought could never be done, I

Ask just about anyone you know who the father of “Structure Fishing” is and you’ll probably
hear names like Bill
Dance, maybe
Roland Martin. Ever wonder who came up with all the terminology we fishermen use today?
Ask again and you might hear Tom Mann, one of the Lindners or any of the other legends in
our wonderful sport. One man alone however owns the distinction of being the true “Father of
Structure Fishing”. That man is Elwood Lake Perry. Known to his many friends as simply,

Southern Outdoors America made its international debut at ICAST 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada in July. Although the company released The Longshank…its patent pending line of spinnerbaits and buzzbaits…in January of 2007 to a national audience with much appreciated success, international accounts had not been approached. “With ICAST, we were hoping to open up larger national accounts, as well as few international accounts,” says Scott Smith, President of SOA. “We were extremely pleased that the product was so well received by buyers from South Africa to Japan, and in between.
